THE NEXT RATAN TATA,
or THE FIRST NABAJYOTI DAS ?

It was 2022 when I first met him. By the time being an IIM Alumni, he had some good offers in his hands to have a desk job in the top tier cities of India with a 6 digit salary per month. But he never craved for a desk job or did his MBA to follow his boss. I am talking about the guy from a small town of Assam a civil engineer turned marketing wizard turned Agripreneur NABAJYOTI DAS, CEO HAPPY FARMING LTD.

Helping over 5 crore farmers across the nation he claims himself to be the robhinhood for the Indian farming community. His organization deals with over 5 other countries across the globe. Having 1000 employees working for the organization he believes that working for his organization one can realize the true meaning of the term democracy.

Inspired from the Brazilian based SEMCO industries. Nabajyoti in his organization tries to maintain a culture where employees can select their colleagues, can decide their working hours and can even evaluate their immediate seniors/managers. “This culture of work is one of a kind in India and can be described as the state of art among other organisations of the country, where employees love the time they spent in the office” stated by The Economic Times.

Implementing the culture, made the organization went through the obvious suffering phase a bit in its initial days but as said every sunrise needs a sunset. With a profit of over 200% in a single AY the corporation totally turned the table of the agricultural community of India, making a daily transaction of almost 8 digits per day since revival, he thrilled his competitors with his amazing young marketing mind and announced his arrival to the Indian corporate industry with a boom.

Nabajyoti is an optimist but also a realist. He acknowledges that the culture at Happy Farming, however well it has helped the company thrive, is still not for everyone.

Once Nabajyoti got a call from a worker’s wife who asked him what on earth he’d done to her tough, autocratic husband. For the first time in his life, she explained, he was listening to his children and taking their feelings into account before making decisions — Nabajyoti mentioned in an interview for Global news.

This was just about the organization and their employees, but the impact that his organization brought in the lives of the Indian farmers is unmatchable. Farmers now do not have to depend on the weather condition for their earnings. Nabajyoti often claims that all these success he is enjoying now is just the results of the blessings that he got from the farmers and their families.

Approximately 10,00,000 farmers are now leveraging the profits and savings from Happy Farming and were able to send their childrens for education, able to pay their debts on time, got access to electricity 24*7 and much more.

When asked about the future plans for Happy Farming, he described his organisation’s roadmap of adopting 10 underprivileged villages within next 5 years. And he explained how he is aiming to expand the company’s dominance in other corners of businesses as well.

Nabajyoti believes “Giver is always the supreme god, we are just an instrument or a medium to help others”.
So if you are asked to describe Nabajyoti Das then will it be right or not to describe him as a CIVIL ENGINEER turned MARKETING WIZARD turned PHILANTHROPIST ?
